Family Again!

I took David to his first cardiology appointment since his Glenn surgery last week.  His oxygen level was 82! His echo looked great and they were able to get some really great pictures since he slept through the whole echo.  They were able to set his pacemaker to lower settings allowing it's batter to last not the 2 1/2 years it would've but 4 and a 1/2 years!  If we can keep it at that setting he will be able to avoid getting his battery changes before his next open heart surgery at age 3! 

As I've reviewed the past years blog I've realized that it has been dedicated to our little David.  Rightly so considering!  But now that things are settling a little with David's surgeries, I would like to turn this back into a family blog!  Of course I'll up-date about David, his milestones, and adventures.  It will just be thrown in with Christmas pictures, lost teeth and camping trips!  After all, David has a wonderful life to experience!

Welcome to our new blog.  Unfortunately when Andy erased his old e-mail address it made it impossible for us to log into our blog.  We are still trying to contact an actual person and resolve the problem.  In the mean time I will be blogging here!

We have been busy lately.  The most recent being two trips to the ER yesterday!  One with Andy taking all the kids, since I was out Christmas shopping with my cel phone charging in the car, and the second, me taking him at 10:00 pm. The first because of  faulty lab results saying David's sodium levels were off the charts and may be causing brain damage, and the second when his g-button started draining bright red blood.  Apparently his sodium levels are actually normal (they drew more labs), as is occasional bleeding from your g-button (even if it's lots of blood).  With two scares for the day I was feeling extra grateful having him home and well last night.
