Sunday's

This Sunday we stayed home from church since most the kids were sick.

I took this earlier that morning.  It's my favorite!

You can see that his left eye is totally cleared up.  Hopefully the right one will clear up before the surgery date!

We also had a photographer come and take a huge group picture and individual family pics.

I have to laugh at the tallness of brother and brother-in-laws. Andy grabbed some bricks to stand on for the pictures.

We had good food and the kids enjoyed sprinklers and water guns in the front yard. Grandmama also showed most her grandkids her treasured seashells.

We had a wonderful time! It was especially sweet to introduce David to so many loving family members who, even with having never met him, had prayed so earnestly for him this past year. What a wonderful family I have!

We did a fun guessing jar game. You had to guess how many were in each jar and the one closes got to take it home! We scored by winning two jars full of Jelly Belly's. Go Caleb and Jentrey!

Jentrey is lucky enough to have 3 girl cousins close to her age. She had a blast playing actual girl games with them all.

Leila is such a sweetheart. I was lucky enough to be there for her birth and it's made a special place for her in my heart.

My joy is full!

Sometimes we plan out our life, setting out step by step how to get where we want to be and how to accomplish our goals.  Sometimes what we thought we planned for our life ends up a little different.  I've learned that God has a plan for each of us and as overwhelming as it may seem at times he cuts out a path making all things possible. 

Before David was even thought about we were feeling pretty content with our family of 6.  We knew at some point we would have another baby but we didn't know just when.  I had always had a nagging in the back of my mind that I had another little girl waiting to come to our family.  I just knew Jentrey had a sister!  When we felt strongly it was time for a baby and I became pregnant with David, I just knew he was going to be a girl!  When the ultrasound tech told me he was a boy I was stunned!  I was confused! The shock of hearing he had half a heart took all those feeling and minimized them to the size of a grain of sand!  "Just let my sweet son live" became by overwhelming desire.

So here we are with David in our arms, feeling so grateful for how well he's doing.  But surprise of all surprises...he has a tag along!  Apparently the lingering feeling of a daughter missing is true!  We just found out we are expecting a little girl.  My family is complete! 

I can't help but imagine David and our little girl holding hands in heaven, waiting for their turn to come to earth and my little girl saying "OK, you'll go first David, but I'm coming as soon as I can!"  I soooo look forward to meeting her!  She's been in my heart for so many years.

Oh, and the ultrasound tech saw all four chambers of her heart!  We are beyond thankful!
